Levels of Certification

Certification includes a competency assessment and an experiential learning environment with skill building, practice and case studies for maximum effectiveness; S.M.A.R.T. Certification provides an introduction to the same wide spectrum of valuable skills on a more basic level.
S.M.A.R.T. Certified
Methodology: The participant is exposed to the information through group lecture or lecture demonstration with some interaction, limited practice, minimal skill-building and either no testing or simple, low stress testing.
Outcome: The participant will have been exposed to the information, and may recognize some skills when shown them again, and will retain the knowledge that seemed most helpful for 2-3 months. Highly motivated, highly educated or very experienced participants will probably be able to transfer and retain knowledge of 25-50% of the skills to add to an already existing extensive skill set.
B.E.S.S.T. Certified
Methodology: The participant is exposed to the information in small group lecture-demonstration, with considerable interaction, role play, extensive practice, substantial skill building, and complex testing under rigorous stress in classroom conditions.
Outcome: The participant can recognize over 80% of the skills when shown them again at the end of class, will have demonstrated the ability to apply the skills in their work setting, Highly educated, highly motivated, or very experienced participants will probably be able to transfer and retain knowledge of over 80% of the skills to add to an already existing extensive skill set.
